Victoria by LoveYourself, formerly known as the Victoria Health and Wellness Center, is the first community center that offers services focused on the needs of transgender persons. Aside from the usual HIV screening and counseling services, the community center will also offer hormone management, and pre-GAS (gender-affirming surgery) assessment and counseling. You can inquire more about these services by inquiring through the hotline below.
The community center is open to provide HIV screening and counseling services to everyone five days a week from Saturdays to Wednesdays (12nn to 8pm), to accommodate you when LoveYourself Uni and LoveYourself Anglo are closed. It is also open five days a week for hormone replacement therapy consultations per appointment, from Saturday to Wednesday only.

ReplyDeleteI went here and got myself checked. THANK U LORD I was non-reactive. Sy, hepa b, hiv1&2. Test and counseliing was free. And results were out in less than 2 hours. Thank you to the very accomodating staff of RITM. Im an emotional freak but they have explained and accomadated me in a very well mannered and supportive way. GOD BLESS US ALL. Be safe everyone. DeleteI was tested positive when Im applying for a work abroad. Tested twice. just waiting for a confirmatory test... i was told its required to be sure. Im still hoping it will come out negative. Dont know what to do now that im waiting for the result. Is there a chance that the screening was wrong?

Went to RITM malate superb ang service willing ako mag bayad pero libre sila... their warm accommodation makes you feel everything will be o.k... got my non-reactive result after waiting for 3 months 90 days before the test... thank you sa RITM mula sa simula hangang sa pag-uwi nandun ang kanilang ngiti...

ReplyDeleteHIV Antibody can be tested in your blood 3-6 mos. after your last unprotected sexual contact, testing for HIV too soon after potential exposure to the virus may not give an accurate result due to what is known as the window period.

ReplyDeleteStatistically, mas mataas ang chance mahawa sa HIV ang bottom. Kapag HIV+ ang top, mas mataas ang chance na ma-transmit ang virus sa bottom niya kapag nag-sex. Yung protection ng condom is effective, yes, pero hindi yun 100%. There's always a risk na mahawa pa din unfortunately.
DeleteAs for oral sex, nakakahawa din yun ng HIV. Ang semen at ang pre-ejaculate (pre-cum) ng isang HIV+ person ay may HIV virus din. Kapag may singaw or any open wounds sa mouth, gums, or teeth nung taong nag-BBJ may chance mahawa.
2 years ago nagkaroon ako ng discharge,,,i went to a clinic in cubao and said it was std chlamidia daw,,and was given a shot na di ko alam kung ano then capsules na kailangan ko daw inumin araw2,,and may mga pagkaing wag ko daw kakainin muna,, charged me 7k pero 4k lang nabayaran ko kasi yun lang kaya ko,, nawala naman po, ,sabi nila pa hiv test na din ako for 1k pero wala na talaga ko pera,,so i pass,,then around 6 months after, i had the discharge again,, but this time i just took amoxicillin everyday at nawala naman at di na ako nagkaroon ulit,,, is it possible na bogus lang ang clinic na yun and i just had uti? kc sabi ng iba uti at tulo has somehow the same symptoms? pls enlighten me,,, tnx
ReplyDeleteUsually pag may discharge sa penis na kulay green or yellow, STD yan. It's either Gonorrhea or Chlamydia. Yung treatment nun is simple and effective. Kung hindi na-treat, maaaring mawala yung discharge nang kusa, pero ang infection ay nandiyan pa din. Madaming possible complications ang mangyayari sa katawan.
DeleteJust to be clear, USUALLY po yun, hindi always. The best thing to do is go to a doctor and check up. By the way, masyadong mahal ang 7K para sa isang konsulta, isang injection at isang reseta. Madaming ibang clinics na mas affordable.

Deletehi, does RITM-SC uses fresh-from-the-package-needles? kasi my friend told me na although nakatube naman yung mga needles, still na walang kasiguraduah na 100% na hindi pa ito nagagamit. and magkalapit lang daw yung container ng nagamit na at yung mga gagamitin pa for the test. or may kaso na ba na after 3 months of the test, nakaramdam yung patient nyo ng mga sintomas?

hello po. gumagamit po ba ang RITM Satellite Clinic ng mga bagong needles or sinasanitize lang nila yung mga gamit na. and if sinasanitize lang, paano po nakakasigurado na wala ng naiwan na dugo na pwedeng maging dahilan ng pagkakapasa ng virus? pwede po ba ako magdala ng sariling needle or syringe?

ReplyDeleteI was diagnose + last June 9 then June 11 nagpunta na ako sa RITM Alabang dinirediretso kona as instructed by my counselor andun ang depression pero need mo tangapin I asked my friend na samahan ako then pina alam ko sa family ko suprisingly full support naman sila sa akin so diretso na ako sa mga test na ni request ng doctor sa RITM Alabang may mga free meron din naman may fee if ever walang wala kayo may assistance naman ang RITM ARG Alabang na tutulong sa inyo. More than one month na ako dumaan na ako sa mahirap na stage na nag adjust ang body ko sa medication treatment now parang back to normal ang pakiramdam ko balik ang apetite ko pero ingat parin na hindi ako mahawa ng kahit anung sakit sa paligid ko my family is supportive all da way sa sakit ko even my brothers na straight nag re reseach sila regarding sa sakit na ito. Malaking tulong ang support ng family inalis nila ang stress sa akin na all I need is magpagaling nakita nung brother ko yung time na hirap ako kasi nga nag adjust talaga ang body ko sa medicattions na tinitake ko. If ever na mahirapan kayo sa medication sa unang bwan lang yan tiis lang pati depression kasama na bigla nalang iiyak tiis lang malalampasan din pala sya akala ko kasi dati katapusan kona now pede na ako mag kwento sa ibang friends ko para naman mag ingat sila and advice ko na mag pa test sila kasi wala naman mawawala if negative ok if positive mas maganda na maaga na malaman samalat sa RITM and Love Your Self soon plan ko maging isa sa mga volunteer sa isa sa mga clinic or office nyo
DeleteHi, I had my first experience with a gay men back in 2009, he forced me to swallow it. I was young and innocent during those times, It's 2013 and I haven't noticed any of the symptoms in my body. My skin is still flawless, no mouth thrush, diarrhea, or what so ever. But if my memory serves me right, I had a high fever that lasted for about 3 days back in 2010 which made me really nervous ngayon. Nadedepress ako pag naiisip ko iyon. Kapag nagpa-test ba ako malalaman ko agad within the day ang result?

ReplyDeletemagtatanong lang po. nagka infection po ung urine test ko at tinanong ng dr. ko kung nakipag sex ako at nagsinungaling ako at sinabi ko na wala. binigyan po ako ng antibiotic at nawala naman po. After 3months nagpa HIV test po ako at negative po ung resulta, then after 6 month nag retest ako at negative din po results. sabi nila pwede na po ako mag donate ng blood at nag donate din po ako. Naka 5 times na po ako nagdodonate.. itatanong ko lng po sana kung tlagang HIV negative na po ako?

ReplyDeleteI have an EXTREME fear of blood and NEEDLES. Whenever I need to have a physical exam, my anxiety level rises because I cannot cope up with my phobia. Please tell me that there are other methods of figuring my HIV status. The mental preparation for the test itself is difficult and combining the NEEDLES and blood, baka himatayin ako. Are there options for my case? The fact that it's a needle exam makes me decide not to take it eh. I'd rather get a surprise bunch or jab rather than being injected with a NEEDLE. Hope to hear from you soon.

ReplyDeleteHindi po dapat kayo mag-alala. Hindi po basta-bastang nakakahawa ang HIV, hindi po sa pamamagitan ng pang-araw araw na pakikisalamuha. Nakukuha lamang po ito sa bodily fluids tulad ng dugo, breast milk, at seminilya kung saan mataas ang konsentrasyon ng HIV virus, at kung saan dapat din po ay maipasa ito derecho sa bloodstream ng isang tao.

ReplyDeletehi. nagpatest po yung partner ko last week and nag-negative sya sa HIV. we do unprotected sex po whether top ako or bottom. May chance pa po ba na magpositive ako if i take the test, or should i be relieved na already?

Hi! I got tested sa RITM Satelite last March, I was diagnosed non reactive and I lost my test result. Can I go back to the clinic and have a copy of the diagnosis? For records ko lang po sana na I am negative. Please respond po. Thank you so much.

ReplyDeleteKasama po sa aming libreng testing ang Syphilis, Hepa-B, at HIV test. Sa isang blood extraction na gagawin sa inyo sa testing, magiging sapat ito para sa tatlong uri ng test. Magkakaiba po ang mga test na ito kaya po magkakahiwalay din ang resulta.

ReplyDeleteThanks God, non reactive ako. Thank you sa mga staff and councelor sa RITM Malate. They are very kind. Last Oct. 5, 2013 ako nag pa test. Takot lang talaga ako sa blood and needle, hinihimatay talaga ako.

ReplyDeleteJust wanna ask.. pag nagpamedical checkup ka ba sa isang clinic (for employment purposes ganun) ay madedetect ba nila kung HIV+ ka or not? may drug test din ako dun dati.. and di ko pa nakukuha yung result since send directly to the company.. is there a chance na malaman nila na HIV+ ako or not? thanx much
ReplyDeleteIllegal po ang mandatory testing sa Pilipinas. Ibig sabihin po, hindi kayo maaaring itest para sa HIV nang sapilitan. Ngunit, kung employment po sa ibang bansa bilang OFW ang pinag-uusapan, may mga bansa po na required sa medical ang HIV test. Sa ganito pong pagkakataon, dahil po intensiyon ninyong mag-apply ng trabaho sa bansang iyon, kailangan pong pahintulutan ninyo ang HIV test para i-consider ang inyong application. Maaari pong i-check muli ang mga requirements ninyo for employment sa bansang nais ninyong pupuntahan. - Edgie

Hindi po namin sigurado kung libre or may kaunting bayad ang magpatest sa mga Social Hygiene Clinics, maaaring ituloy nyo lamang po ang pagtawag sa kanilang opisina upang direktang itanong ito sa kanila. Tungkol po sa inyong katanungan, minsan po ay walang symptoms ang HIV, ito ang tinatawag nating asymptomatic infection. Ibig pong sabihin, maaaring normal ang inyong pakiramdam kahit na nasa katawan na natin ang virus. Ang pagpapatest po sa HIV ang pinakamagandang paraan para malaman ito. Recommended po na magpatest every 6 months lalo na po kung tayo ay sexually active. - Edgie

ReplyDeleteI just got tested yesterday. I was so paranoid the day before kasi I had 2 unprotected sex encounters with 2 different guys. Hindi ako makatulog. Hindi ako makakain. Nagsisisi ako na sana hindi ko na lang ginawa. At first medyo hesitant pa ako to get tested kasi hindi ko alam yung magiging reaksyon ko in case na mag positive ako. Baka mag nervous breakdown ako. Anyways. Ayun when I went there I didnt expect na madaming tao. I thought konti lang kasi yung iba nahihiya or natatakot. They (staffs) have me fill up a form and wait for my number to be called. Next step was to take your blood sample and after just wait for the counseling. 2 parts ang counseling. May pre (before the result) at post (after the result). Yung 1st counseling is to educate you about HIV and AIDS. Very informative. Napaka accomodating nung counselor. His name starts with a J (cant remember the first name). His very warm and masaya kausap. He will give you hopes regardless if negative or positive ka pa. After the pre counseling you need to wait for the result which would take less than 15-20 minutes. I was really nervous. Sabi ko sa kasama ko ipagpray nya ako. Ang motto nga namin is "Think Negative" sa result. My number got called and luckily the same counselor was the one who told the result and praise GOD! Non reactive!!!! Negative ako. I was so relieved. Parang nabunutan ako ng tinik. Nawala lahat ng kaba at pagkastress ko. I am so thankful not only to God but to this people (staff of RITM/LoveYourself). Super thank you. Di ako nagsisi to get tested. Prevention is better than cure. Mas mabuti ng maaga ko malaman kesa huli na kung kelan malala na. Kaya I promise to myself to be very very 200% safe. Enjoy lang pero be safe guys. And sa mga positive naman wag mawalan ng pag asa. Walang namamatay sa HIV. Basta you get yourself treated then you will live the usual normal life. God Bless everyone! Thank you LoveYourself!
