What happens during HIV testing?
Many people who think about HIV testing initially get quite afraid, and we find out that while most are quite wary with the results, many too are scared because they do not know what happens during the actual testing. In this video we share, in a very casual and brief way, what happens during testing. We also introduce what Love Yourself is and its work in helping the HIV education and prevention efforts in the Philippines.
Are you interested in getting yourself tested? Register here and we'll have one of our HIV counselors contact you.

ReplyDeletenagpatest ako nung January (this year), NR yung result. i want to be tested again. when is the best time para magpatest ulit? should i wait 2 months more? is it advisable na magpatest every 6months?
ReplyDeleteKung meron kang unprotected sexual contact 3 buwan bago mag January, maari kanang mag pa-test ngayon.
DeleteOo, advisable mag pa-test every 6 mos. lalona't kung meron tayong mga risky behaviors.
i read something 8 to 12 months talaga ang incubation period or seroconversion period na tinatawag. just do the math :)
DeleteWhat does it mean po sa choice na i dont want to go alone sa question na what keeps you from getting a test? May ischedule ba po kayong patient with the same answer dun sa question para sabay sila?
ReplyDeleteHi. Yung questions po sa survey ay para masagot po ang mga ito ng counselor na magko-contact sa yo bago ka magpa-test. Wala po itong kinalaman sa scheduling. :)
DeleteThank you for this video. It does help to a lot of people especially the infected.

do you offer tests for females too?
ReplyDeleteFor hiv testing, there's the screening and confirmatory. Their results are different. For the screening, the results could either be NONREACTIVE, REACTIVE or INDETERMINATE. For the confirmatory, the results could be NEGATIVE, POSITIVE or INCONCLUSIVE.
