What happens during HIV testing?

Many people who think about HIV testing initially get quite afraid, and we find out that while most are quite wary with the results, many too are scared because they do not know what happens during the actual testing. In this video we share, in a very casual and brief way, what happens during testing. We also introduce what Love Yourself is and its work in helping the HIV education and prevention efforts in the Philippines.

    1. There are people who have HIV and are Virgins too... Kids who were born from positive parents but now have the chance to grow to your age and People who were accidentally given tainted blood. Just an FYI

  5. nagpatest ako nung January (this year), NR yung result. i want to be tested again. when is the best time para magpatest ulit? should i wait 2 months more? is it advisable na magpatest every 6months?

    1. Kung meron kang unprotected sexual contact 3 buwan bago mag January, maari kanang mag pa-test ngayon.

Oo, advisable mag pa-test every 6 mos. lalona't kung meron tayong mga risky behaviors.

  6. What does it mean po sa choice na i dont want to go alone sa question na what keeps you from getting a test? May ischedule ba po kayong patient with the same answer dun sa question para sabay sila?

    1. Hi. Yung questions po sa survey ay para masagot po ang mga ito ng counselor na magko-contact sa yo bago ka magpa-test. Wala po itong kinalaman sa scheduling. :)

  15. For hiv testing, there's the screening and confirmatory. Their results are different. For the screening, the results could either be NONREACTIVE, REACTIVE or INDETERMINATE. For the confirmatory, the results could be NEGATIVE, POSITIVE or INCONCLUSIVE.
